Genting Highlands is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Malaysia. It is known for being the only place with legal casinos in Malaysia. Hence, you will see a bunch of people in the casinos trying their luck out! Genting also has one of the best theme parks in Malaysia, however, the outdoor theme park is not finished yet. On the bright side, there are many things that you can do in Genting without the new outdoor theme park.

In GPO there are many fashion brands and premium outlets that are popular for their discounts. Before going to Genting Highland, this is a place definitely worth a visit if you are a shopper! What's even cooler is that you get to shop with such cooling weather and this alone beats other premium outlets out there in Malaysia.

There are different ways to get up to Genting from GPO, first, you can drive up or you could take a cable car ride which only takes an approximately 10-minute ride at a rate of RM16 for a 2-way ride. You can get the tickets from Awana Skyway and board the cable car from Awana Station.

The casinos are the ones that people are going up there for entertainment now. As you go up there you will realize that most people are mainly there for the casinos as it is the only legal casino in Malaysia. If you are old enough to enter, try going to Sky Avenue casino, which is easily the most popular one now. The interior and the design of the casino are mesmerizing because they used LED ceilings and the picture on the screen changes all the time so it looks much more advanced and cooler than most of the old casinos.

Skytropolis is the new indoor theme park that replaced the old one. Some of the rides now are still being renovated but there are some already opened to the public. They have similar rides to what you will expect like Viking ship and merry-go-round and so on. If you want to have some fun, do give it a visit.
